Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the Order, but is intended to indicate its general purport).

This Order lists in the Schedules all current pensionable posts together with the dates from which pensionability first attached to them. The posts are listed according to those dates and not in order of seniority. The Pensionable Offices Order, 1962 (G.N.A. 95/62) is cancelled but this cancellation does not affect the pensionability of persons, if any, who held offices declared as pensionable under ihat Order for so long as they continue in those offices, even though such offices are not declared pensionable in the new Order.
