PUBLIC HEALTH AND URBAN SERVICES ORDINANCE, 1960.

(No. 30 of 1960).

PLEASURE GROUNDS (AMENDMENT) BY-LAWS, 1964,

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 109 of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, 1960, the Urban Council has made the following by-laws-

1. These by-laws may be cited as the Pleasure Grounds (Amend- Citation. ment) By-laws, 1964.

2. The Pleasure Grounds By-laws, 1960 (hereinafter referred to Addition of as the principal by-laws) are amended by the addition, after by-law 4, new by-law of the following new by-law-

By-lay 17 is amended by the insertion, after paragraph (3), of Amendment the following new paragraphs-

of by-law 17.

*(4) Subject to the provisions of paragraph (5), where, under subsection (2) of section 108 of the Ordinance, the exclusive use of any playing field, playing pitch, tennis court or other part of any public pleasure ground, or of any facilities provided in any public pleasure ground, is allocated to any school, club, association or individual person on payment of a fee, the fee payable shall be the appropriate fee specified in Part II of the Schedule.

(S) In the case of any organized party of school children, the Authority may reduce any of the fees pre- scribed in Part II of the Schedule or may permit the school concerned to pay a compounded fee in respect of the exclu- sive use of any part of a public pleasure ground by such party, or any number of such parties, over such period of time as may be agreed between the Authority and the school.

(6) For the purposes of Part II of the Schedule—– "cheap rate period" means—

(a) during the period of summer time as fixed by section 2 of the Summer Time Ordinance, 1953, the period from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on every
