GENERAL CHINESE CHARITIES FUND (AMENDMENT) Directions, 196).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Chinese Temples Ordinance, the Chinese Temples Committee has given the following directions—-—
1. These directions may be cited as the General Chinese Charities Chadon. Fund (Amendmeal) Directions, 1961.

Direction 7 of the General Chinese Charities Fund Directions, Amendment 1954. (hereinafter referred to as the principal directions) is amended of direction by the deletion of the full stop at the end thereof and the substitution (G.NA. buretor of the following-

9. (1) The Chairman shall cause proper accounts to directions be kept of all transactions of the Fund and shall cause to be prepared for every period of twelve months ending on the 31st day of March in each year a statement of the accounts of the Fund, which statement shall include an income and expenditure account and balance sheet and sball be signed by the Chairman,
(2) The accounts of the Fund and the signed state- ment of the accounts shall be audited by an auditor appointed by the Governor, and the auditor shall certify the statement subject to such report, if any, as he may think fit.
(3) A copy of the signed and audited statement of accounts together with the auditor's report, if any, shall be laid on the Table of the Legislative Council not later than the 30th day of September next following the end of such period or so soon thereafter as the Governor, in his absolute discretion, may allow.”.
