An Ordinance to amend the Telecommunication Ordinance, Chap- ter 106, and to validate the charging of certain rates of payment for the transmission of messages.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Telecommunication Short title, (Amendment) Ordinance, 1960.

Subsection (2) of section 7 of the Telecommunication Ordin- Amendment ance (bereinafter referred to as the principal Ordinance) is amended of section 7. by the deletion from paragraph (a) of the words "rates at which and (Cap. 106). the other".

3. The principal Ordinance is amended by the insertion after Addition of section 7 of the following new section-

"Power to

determine

rates.

7A. The Governor may by order provide for the rates at which messages shall be transmitted.”,
