An Ordinance further to amend the Mining Ordinance, 1954.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

th

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Mining (Amendment) Short vide. Ordinance, 1960.

2. Section 2 of the Mining Ordinance, 1954 (hereinafter referred Amendment

to as the principal Ordinance) is amended-

(a) by the deletion of the definition "minerat" and the substitution

therefor of the following-

**“mineral" does not include mineral oils but includes-

(a) metalliferous ores and other substances in their natural state which are obtainable only by mining or in the course of prospecting operations;
