For the removal of doubt, it is hereby declared that the Vehicle and Road Traffic (Parking and Waiting) Regulations, 1958, shall have, and shall be deemed, as from the date of their enactment, to have had, the same force and effect as if they had been expressed to be made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Road Traffic (39 of 1957). Ordinance, 1957.

An Ordinance to amend the Holidays Ordinance. Chapter 149.

[8th May, 1959.]

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Holidays (Amendment) Short title. Ordinance, 1959.

2. The definition "school holiday" in section 2 of the Holidays Amendment Ordinance (hereinafter referred to as the principal Ordinance) is of section 2. amended by the deletion of the date "1913" and the substitution there (Cap. 149). for of the following~~

*1952".

3. Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the dele- Amendment ion of the word "Empire" and the substitution therefor of the of section 4. following-

“Commonwealth”.
