26. (1) For the purposes of this regulation "a daily parking period" (hereinafter referred to as the period) means a period extending from 8.00 o'clock in the morning of one day to 8.00 o'clock in the morning of the following day,

(*) If at any time during a daily parking period any person wishes to remove a motor vehicle from a car park but is unable to produce the ticket issued in respect of such vehicle, he may remove such vehicle if he satisfies an attendant that such a ticket was issued to him or that he is authorized to remove such vehicle by the person to whom such ticket was issued, provided that he shall, subject to the provisions of paragraph (3), pay the fee for £ replacement ticket calculated in the following manner-

(a) if the registration mark of such vehicle does not appear in the register at the commencement of such period, it shall be presumed that such vehicle has remained in the car park since the commencement of such period; or (6) if the registration mark of such vehicle does appear in the register at the commencement of such period, but not in the register at the commencement of the period immediately preceding such period, it shall be presumed that such vehicle has remained in the car park since the commencement of the period before such period; or

(c) if the registration mark of such vehicle does appear in the register at the commencement of such period and of one or more periods immediately preceding such period, it shall be presumed that such vehicle has re- mained in the car park since the commencement of the period before the first of the preceding periods.

(3) If a motor vehicle was parked in the car park while it was exhibiting a valid monthly pass but is not removed from the car park before the date of expiry of the monthly pass, on applica- tion by any person wishing to remove the motor vehicle and on payment of the appropriate fee for the period since the expiry of the monthly pass, a replacement ticket shall be issued to such person:

Provided that the provisions of this paragraph shall not apply to any person who obtains a new valid monthly pass before he removes his car from the car park.

27. (1) The driver of a motor vehicle in a car park shall obey all lawful directions given to him by an attendant.

(a) The driver of a motor vehicle in a car park shall obey all signs and signals exhibited in the car park for the direction or regulation of motor vehicles therein.

(3) When a motor vehicle has been parked in a car park, the driver and all passengers thereof shall leave the car park as soon as is practicable thereafter by such means of exit from the car park as is indicated by signs displayed for that purpose.

(4) On demand the driver of a motor vehicle shall give his name and address to an attendant.

(5) No person shall sound a warning instrument in a car park. (6) No person shall park a motor vehicle in a car park in such manner that the motor vehicle unnecessarily projects over any line or other mark which divides the space in which the motor vehicle is parked from any other place.

(7) No person shall remove a motor vehicle from a car park, otherwise than in accordance with paragraph (5) of regulation 25 unless the appropriate fee has been paid in respect of the motor yehicle or the motor vehicle is duly displaying a valid monthly pass in respect thereof in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (6) of regulation 23.

28. (1) No person other than-

(a) an attendant or any person employed at the car park in

the course of his duties;

(b) a police officer in the course of his duties;

(c) a person driving a motor vehicle into the car park or a person coming to the car park to remove a vehicle there- from:

(d) a passenger in a motor vehicle entering a car park or a person intending to leave the car park as a passenger in a motor vehicle;

(e) a person authorized to clean motor vehicles in accordance

with the provisions of regulation 16,

shall enter a car park or any part thereof without having first obtained the permission of an attendant on duty at the entrance to the car park.

(2) No person shall smoke within a car park.

(3) No person shall walk in any part of a car park reserved exclusively for the passage of motor vehicles,
