47. Any person who-
(4) fails to produce on demand his occupation permit to
a competent authority or authorized officer; or
(6) defaces, alters or destroys any occupation permit; or (e) has in his possession any occupation permit which has
been defaced or altered; or
(d) without lawful authority removes any occupation permit
from the building to which it relates,
shall be guilty of an offence and, on summary conviction, shall be liable to a fine of one thousand dollars and to imprisonment for six months.
48. (1) The competent authority may at any time add to tion permit, or delete from an occupation permit the name and photograph

of any dependant thereon and may cancel an occupation permit or any similar card or permit issued under any other enactment relating to the clearance and resettlement of squatters and may issue a new occupation permit in substitution therefor.
(2) When the name and photograph of a dependant has been so deleted, such person shall thereupon cease to be a depend- ant and from thenceforth shall be deemed to be a trespasser and liable to eviction in manner provided in section 50.
49. (1) A competent authority may let by tenancy card under his hand or under the hand of an authorized officer, for any term or for any period any building in a cottage resettle- ment area, possession of which has lawfully come into the hands of the Crown or which has been erected out of monies provided out of the general revenue of the Colony and which has not been disposed of by sale or otherwise, subject to the payment therefor, in addition to the permit fee in respect thereof payable under section 43, of such rent as may be prescribed by regulations made under section 5t, in the same manner as he is authorized, by section 27, to let any building in a resettlement estate,
(2) The provisions of sections 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32 shall apply to a tenant of any such building in a cottage resettle- ment area and to his tenancy and to the tenancy card issued to
him in the same manner as these sections apply to a tenant of a building in a resettlement estate, to his tenancy and to the tenancy card issued to him.
(3) Any person who is in occupation of any such building in a cottage resettlement area at the date of the coming into opera- tion of this Ordinance under any permit or other document law- fully issued in accordance with the provisions of any enactment relating to the clearance or resettlement of squatters and is paying & rent or fee therefor to the Crown in addition to the permit fee payable therefor shall be deemed to be in occupation thereof as a tenant in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance and under a tenancy card issued to him in accordance with the pro- visions of this section and the exhibition by such person of the permit or other documents issued under any such enactment will constitute the exhibition of a tenancy card in accordance with the provisions of subsection (1) of section go so long as such person complies with the provisions of subsection (2) of that section.
50. (1) Any person who is a trespasser or is deemed to be Trespassers a trespasser under the provisions of section 29, 32, 45 or 48 in to quit. any dwelling in any cottage resettlement area shall immediately quit the dwelling when ordered to do so by any authorized officer.
(2) Any person so ordered who does not forthwith obey such order may be summarily evicted by an authorized officer who may use such force as may be reasonably necessary to evict such person from such dwelling and for that purpose invoke the assistance of the police and of any other authorized officer,
(3) Any person who contravenes the provisions of subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable, on summary conviction, to a fine of five hundred dollars.
