61. The face of the tyre of a hand cart shall be not less than three inches and the diameter of the wheel shall be not less than fifteen inches.

82. No hand cart shall exceed five feet in width or fourteen feet in total length.

8. (1) Every bicycle and every tricycle shall— (a) if it is so constructed that one or more of the wheels is incapable of rotating independently of the pedals, be equipped with a braking system operating on the front wheel or both the front wheels if it has two front wheels: (b) if it is not so constructed as aforesaid, be equipped with rwo independent braking systems one of which operates on the front wheel or both the front wheels if it has two front wheels, and the other of which operates on the rear wheel or one of the rear wheels if it has two rear wheels.

(a) Every other cycle shall be equipped with at least one braking system.

84. The overall width of a tricycle shall not exceed three feet six inches.

85. No horn, bell, siren or other form of warning instrument shall be carried on any rickshaw, chair, cart or hand cart or used by the driver or occupant of such vehicle.

USE OF VEHICLES.

Section 1-Motor vehicles and trailers-general.

BB. The owner of a motor tractor shall cause his name and address, the weight of the vehicle unladen and maximum speed at which it may be driven when not drawing a trailer to be painted or otherwise plainly marked upon some conspicuous place on both sides of the vehicle. The marking shall include the words "with- out trailer" placed after the maximum speed.

87. The owner of a goods vehicle shall cause his name and on a goode address, the weight of the vehicle unladen, the maximum laden weight as shown on the vehicle licence in respect of such vehicle and the maximum speed at which the vehicle may be driven when

to such terms and conditions and for such period as appears to him fit, may authorize the use of a trailer with motor vehicle draw- ing it of a total laden weight exceeding twelve tons.

91. The weight transmitted to the road surface by any one Laden wheel of a motor vehicle, other than a road roller, where no other weight

of goods wheel is in the same line transversely shall not exceed three tons vehicle. and the weight so transmitted by any two wheels in line transverse- ly shall not exceed, in the case of a four-wheeled vehicle, six tons, and in the case of a vehicle with more than four wheels, five tons, and the sum of the weights transmitted to the road surface by all the wheels of a motor vehicle shall not exceed in the case of a vehicle with four wheels, nine tons, and in the case of a vehicle with more than four wheels, twelve tons :

Provided that the Commissioner by permit in writing subject to such terms and conditions and for such period as appears to him fit may authorize the use of a motor vehicle which does not comply with the provisions of this regulation.

92. The total weight transmitted to the road surface by any Laden two wheels of a trailer in line transversely shall not exceed four weight of
