Conditions.

149. Every person licensed to keep an automatic machine establishment shall exhibit and keep exhibited the words "Licensed for automatic machines" in English and in Chinese the characters (AEMALE PH) in some conspicuous place near the door and un the outside of the premises to the satisfaction of the licensing authority.

150. Every person licensed to keep an automatic machine establishment shall maintain good order in the premises and shall not suffer or permit therein-

(a) any drunkenness or other disorderly conduct; (b) any unlawful game; or

(c) any persons of notoriously bad character to

assemble and meet together.

151. No person licensed to keep an automatic machine establishment shall allow any intoxicating liquors to be sold or consumed on the premises except under and in accordance with the terms of a valid licence in that behalf granted to him in respect of such premises.

152. Every person holding a licence to keep an automatic machine establishment shall produce and show such licence at the premises to any police officer on demand.

153. Every person holding a licence to keep an automatic machine establishment shall observe the following conditions, and such special conditions as the licensing authority may in his discretion impose, which shall appear on the face of the licence-

(a) except with the written permission of the licensing authority endorsed on the licence, the licensee shall not transfer, lend or hire his licence to any person;

(b) the licensee shall not permit any automatic machine to be operated except between the hours of 8 a.m. and I a.m.

Explanatory Note.

(Thia Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general purport).

Under a recent amendment of the Miscellaneous Licences Ordinance (Chapter 114) a licence is required for keeping certain types of automatic machines. These regulations introduce into the Miscellaneous Licences Regulations a now Part regulating the keeping of such machines, prescrib- ing the fee payable for a licence, and appointing the Commissioner of Police as licensing authority.
