MERCHANT SHIPPING ORDINANCE, 1953. (No. 14 of 1953).
MERCHANT SHIPPING (CONTROL OF PORTS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1955-
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 67, 68, 73, 78, 79, 111, 113 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1953, and of every other power him enabling, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-
1. These regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping Citation. (Control of Ports) (Amendment) Regulations, 1955-
1. The Merchant Shipping (Control of Ports) Regulations, Addition 1953 (hereinafter referred to as the principal regulations), are
of new regulation amended by the addition after regulation 7 of the following new 14. regulation-
"Prohibi- ១០. against the ac of Police

7A, No vessel other than a police launch shall exhibit in the waters of the Colony a recognition signal authorized by the Commissioner of Police under sub- section (4) of section 75 of the Ordinance, which is- (a) between the hours of sunrise and sunset, a blue flag with one white and two red diagonal stripes;
(b) between the hours of sunset and sunrise, a
blue light."

3. The principal regulations are amended by the addition Addition after regulation 17 of the following new regulation-

*Naval Dockyard.
17A. All vessels in or in the vicinity of the Naval Dockyard Basin shall comply with the following-
(a) when a red flag is flying at the entrance of the Basin, such vessels shall keep well clear of the entrance and shall enter or leave the Basin only when so instructed by the pier master on the picrhead;
(b) when entering the Basin such vessels shall keep a distance of at least two hundred feet from the sea wall before turning in and shall not do so until the entrance is in full view;
