In exercise of the power conferred upon me as a competent authority under Regulation so of the Defence Regulations, 1940, I, HERBERT ALEXANDER ANGUS, Acting Director of Commerce and Industry, hereby make the following Order=

ORDER

1. This Order may be cited as the Prohibited Exports Citation. (Amendment) Order, 1955 and shall be read as one with the Prohibited Exports Order, 1945.

2. The Schedule to the principal Order is hereby rescinded Amendment and the following substituted therefor.

Brase, all forms including scrap and products manufactured thereof.

Borax, raw or granulated.

Butter.

Gunny bags,

Sulphur.

Explanatory Note.

The Prohibited Exports Order, 1948 (G.N.A. No. 238 dated 9th July, 1946) forbids the export of any article contained in the Schedule thereto except in accordance with a permit issued by the Director of Commerce and Industry. This Schedule replaces that published as G.N. A.89 of 1954.

The new Schedule omits Coal and Rice, the export of which now requires a Licence under the Importation and Exportation (Reserved) Commodities) Regulations 1954. It is no longer considered necessary to maintain control of exports of Coke and Peanut Oil.
