Additian of three New Schedules to the Principal regulations.

(a) any instruction period not attended in the quarter of the year in which by regulation 13 he is liable to attend such period; and (b) any instruction period during which such member has not in the opinion of the Com. manding Officer used his best endeavours to obtain the full benefit of the instruction provided during such instruction period."

11. The principal regulations are hereby amended-- (a) by the substitution of the word "members" for the word "volunteers" where it appears in regulations 12, 15, 16 17 and 19:

(b) by the substitution of the word "member" for the word

**volunteer" where it appears in regulations 14 and 18.

12. The principal regulations are amended by the addition thereto of the following Schedules-

FIRST SCHEDULE.

Rules for Training and Instruction.

Every officer and member shall-

(a) attend not less than 6o instruction periods annually which may be reduced at the discretion of the Com- mandant in consultation with the appropriate Service

Commander;

(b) attend camp annually for not less than 14 days or such less time as the Commandant may direct in consultation with the appropriate Service Commander;

(c) attend such alternative instruction periods not exccoding in the aggregate those prescribed as the Commandant may direct. For the purpose of this paragraph a period of 6 hours' instruction shall be deemed to be the equi- valent of day's attendance at camp.
