SECOND COLUMN.
The regulations contained in the Schedule to the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordin- ance, 1935, are amended by the addition at the end of Part II of the following-
PART 111.
Contraventions and Penalties.
11. (0) Any person who acts in contravention of the regulations in Part I and Part II (except regulation in thereof) shall be liable to a fine of five hundred dollars or, in the case of a con- tinual offence, the sum of fifty dollars for every day which the offence continues,
(2) The master of any vessel shall (in addition to the actual offender) be deemed to be guilty of any contravention of the regulations mentioned in paragraph (1) which may occur while he is on board his ship and shall be liable to be pro creded against and punished accords ingly."
(6) The regulations made under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordinance, 1935, and published in the Gazette of the 15th Decem ber, 1939, as Government Notification No. 1164 are amended by the addition alte regulation 21 of the following-
22. (1) Any person who acts in contravention of regulations 2 to 5 and ir to 19 shall be liable to a fine of five hundred dollars or, in the case of a coté tinuing offence, the sum of fifty dolla for every day which the offence continues.
(2) The master of any vessel sball (in addition to the actual offender) be deemed to be guilty of any contravention of the regulations mentioned in paras graph (1) which may occur while he is on board his ship and shall be liable to be proceeded against and punished accordingly."
