(2) In this section "issuing authority" means the Commissioner of Police or person or officer duly authorized by him to issue permits or grant permis- sions."

An Ordinance to amend the Diplomatic Privileges Ordinance,
1948.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kang, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof:
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Diplomatic Privileges Short title. (Amendment) Ordinance, 1951, and shall be read as one with the Diplomatic Privileges Ordinance, 1948, hereinafter referred to as Ordinance the principal Ordinance.

2. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is hereby amended Amendment by the repeal of subsection (1) thereof and by the substitution of the therefor of the following subsection-
"(1) When any organization has been declared by His Majesty by Order in Council made under the Diplomatic Privileges (Extension) Acts, 1944 and 1946, or under the International Organizations (Immunities and Privileges) Act, 1950, to be an organization of which His Majesty's Govern- ment in the United Kingdom and the government or
principal Ordinance.
