1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Law Revision (Miscellaneous Amendments) Ordinance, 1950.
2. The Ordinances specified in the first column of the mente made Schedule are upon enactment hereof amended in the manner cellaneous indicated in the second column thereof or repealed as indicated' Ordinances. therein, and it is declared that the provisions of section & of the Schedule,
Revised Edition of the Laws Ordinance, 1948, shall have effect Ordinate

2. Promissory Oaths

(1) Section 7 is repealed and replaced by thej
following-
"7. Every such memorial shall contain a just and true account of the several particulars therein set forth and shall be verified-
(a) by the oath of some competent person taken before any justice of the peace, or
(b) by the certificate of a person admit-
ted and enrolled as a solicitor in the|| Colony."
(2) Section 13 is amended by the repeal of sub-|
section (2) and the substitution therefor of the following
"(a) Every such certificate shall contain a just and true account of the several particulars therein set forth and shall be verified-
(a) by the oath of some competent person taken before any justice of the peace, or

Oaths of Executive
"It shall be lawful for the Governor in Council to make regulations as to the fees to be taken in the Land Office."
Sections 2 to 11 are repealed and replaced by the following sections 2 to 7 in substitution therefor-
2. Each of the officers specified in the First Schedule shall take the oath of alle giance and the judicial oath, unless the same shall have been taken upon previous appoint- ment to the same office in the Colony, and such oath shall be tendered in the manner specified in such Schedule as soon as may be after acceptance of office.
3. (0) A member of the Executive Councillors, Council shall take-
(a) the oath of allegiance, unless he shall have taken such oath upon previous appointment to Executive Council or to Legislative Council in the Colony; and
(b) an oath of fidelity in the discharge of his duties, unless he shall have taken such oath upon previous appointment to Executive Council in the Colony.
