MERCHANT SHIPPING ORDINANCE, 1899.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, the Governor in Council hereby amends Table O (A) in the regulations made under the said Ordinance appearing on pages 350 to 352 of Volume I of the Regulations of Hong Kong (1937 Edition) as follows:-

AMENDMENT.

On page 351 of the said Volume 1, regulation 7 in Table O (A) is amended by the deletion from the fourth line thereof of the words "before sunset next" and the substitution of the words within two hours" therefor.

Note: The reason for this amendment is that it has been found that should any typhoon signal, other than No. 1, be boisted after sunset, ships cannot be ordered away from nou typhoon muoringe until after sunset the fallowing day, when by all probability, the typhoon has already struck the Colony and expended itself.
