THE DEFENCE (FINANCE) REGULATIONS, 1940.
In parsuance of regulation 1(B) of the Defence (Finance) Regulations, 10, which have effect by virtue of the Defence Regulations (Continuation and Hodification) (No. 1) Order, 1948, the Governor has made the following order":
Order.
I. This order may be cited as the Possession of Gold (Goldsmiths) Under, 1949.
3. Auy goldsmith specified in Schedule A, Schedule B or Schedule C to this order is hereby granted permission if and so long no he complies with the conditious hereby imposed to possess a total quantity of gold coin, gold bars and gold whether made into the form of articles or not, not exceed- ng in the aggregate such quantity as may be notified to auch goldsmith by the Financial Secretury.
1 Auy gold possessed in pursuance of this order shall be of a fineness of 96% or of a higher percentage.
4. The permittee shall permit any person authorized in writing by the Fluencial Secretary to enter his premises during ordinary business hours br the purpose of inspecting his stock of gold.
5. The permittee shall render to the Financial Secretary an accurate return of the total amount of sales to and purchases from the public during the period from the graut of this permit to the 30th September, 1949, inclusive and in respect of six monthly permits thereafter not later than 14 days after The close of every such period.
