(8) (a) No teacher shall be eligible for entry in the Register of Teachers unless he first satisßes the Director, by the production of a certificate signed by a Government Medical Officer, ns to his health and physical capacity for teaching.
(5) Normally when a teacher attains the age of 65 his name shall be removed by the Director from the Register of Teachers.

28. (1) No school where English is the principal medium of instruction shall be registered under section 8 of the Edaration Ordinance, 1913, unless the intended principal thereof has passed the Hong Kong University Matriculation Examination, possessed qualifications which are in the opinion of the Director at least the equivalent of the Hong Kong Taiveraity Matriculatiņu Certificate. The registration of any such school shall be cancelled if any person acts or is appointed as principal who does not hold such qualification.
(2) The Director shall not give any person permission to teach English in any school noless such person has passed the Hong Kong School Certificate Examination in English and oral English, or satisfies the Director in other ways that be possesses a knowledge of English of at lenat Hong Kong School Certificate standard.
29. If any teacher is convicted of a criminal offence, or his engagement is terminated whether by way of dismissal or resigna- tion on account of misconduct or grave professional default, the facts shall at once he reported to the Director by the manager of the school where such teacher was employed.
30. (1) The work of each class shall be governed by a time- table and syllabus which shall be approved by the Director and conspicuously displayed in the classroom.
(2) No amendments to any time-table or syllabus shall be made without the approval of the Director.
(3) No book or pamphlet or other printed or written mat- ter shall appear in any syllabus, or be used for instruction in a class or as a text-book "without the previous approval of the Director.
