An Ordinance to authorise the British Cigarette Company Limited

to convert the currency of its capital.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice

and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the British Cigarette Short tide. Company Limited (Capital Conversion) Ordinance, 1948.

Registrar means a registrar, deputy and assistant registrar appointed by the Governor under sub-section (2) of Section 289 of the Companies Ordinance, 1932. Ordinanca

3. It shall be competent for the company to convert the Corendon of currency of its capital (both authorised and issued) and to alter currency of the denomination of the shares into which its capital is divided capital. and such conversion and alteration may be effected in the following

manner :---

(a) By a resolution of the board of directors of the company authorising such conversion and alteration and specifying in detail the manner and at what date such conversion and alteration is to take place; and
