An Ordinance to amend the Banking Ordinance, 1948.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof:
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Banking (Amend- Short title. ment) Ordinance, 1948, and shall be read as one with the Bauking Ordinance Ordinance, 1948, hereinafter referred to as the principal Ordinance. No, a of
1948. 2. Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is hereby amended Amendment as follows:-
of section 4 of the
(a) by the deletion of the figure (1) appearing in the principal
Ordinance. first line of the section; and
(6) by the repeal of sub-section (2) thereof.
3 Section 9 of the principal Ordinance is hereby amended Addition of a as follows
further sub-section
of the
(a) by the deletion of the figures 2 and 3 in the fourth section and seventh lines of the section respectively, and the substitution principal therefor of the figures 3 and 4 respectively; and
(6) by the addition between sub-section (1) and (8) of the following sab-section :
(2) Every licensed bank after preparing a balance sheet shall forthwith send a copy to the Financial Secretary,"
