WHEREAS by section 11 of the Hong Kong Police Reserve Ordinance, 1927, it is enacted that in case of actual or apprehended tumult or riot the Governor by proclamation may call out the Hong Kong Police Reserve Force for active service:
AND WHEREAS it is also enacted by the aforesaid section that the period of such service shall continue so long as the Governor considers necessary and shall end only by proclamation of the Governor :
NOW THEREFORE I, Sir GEOFFRY ÅLSTANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, Knight Commander of the Most Dis- tinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, do by this proclaination call out the Iong Kong Police Reserve Force for active service until my further order.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony at Victoria, Hong Kong, this 13th day of October, 1938,
