Governor.

By His Excellency Sir WILLIAM PEEL, Kuight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice Admiral of the same.

Whereas by Section 11 of the Hong Kong Police Reserve Ordinance, 1927, Ordi- nance No. 24 of 1027, it is enacted that the Governor, in case of actual or apprehended tumult or riot, may call out by Proclamation the Hong Kong Police Reserve Force for active service, and whereas it is also enacted by the aforesaid section that the period of such service shall continue so long as the Governor considers necessary and shall end only by Proclamation of the Governor.

Now therefore I, Sir WILLIAM PEEL, the said Governor, do by this Proclamation call out the Hong Kong Police Reserve Force for active service until my further order.
