Governor.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Sir WILLIAM PEEL, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguish- ed Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice Admiral of the same.
Whereas by Section 6 of the Ordinance No. 10 of 1886 intituled the Peace Preserva- tion Ordinance, 1886, it is provided among other things that:
Whenever it appears to be necessary for the preservation of the public peace it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council to declare by Proclamation, that the Colony shall be subject to the provisions of Sections 7 to 14 of the said Ordinance.
And whereas it appears to me in Executive Council that such necessity exists.
Now therefore I, the said Sir WILLLAM PEEL, in pursuance of the said section and by virtue of the authority in me vested, do hereby notify and proclaim that the Colony of Hong Kong shall be subject to the provisions of Sections to 14 of the said Ordinance.
Given under my band and the Public Seal of the Colony, at Victoria, Hong Kong, this 27th day of September, 1931.
