PROCLAMATIONS.
Officer Administering the Gocerminené,
By Bis Excellency CLAUD SEVERN, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, the Officer Administering the Government of the Colay of Hongkong and its Dependencies;
Whoreas by section 180 of the Army Act it is enacted that where the Governor of a Colony in which any of His Majesty's forces uực serving declares at any time or times that by rouson of the huminence of active service or of the recent existence of active service it is necessary for the public service that the forces in the Colony should be temporarily subject to the said Act as if they were ou active service then on the publien- tion in general orders of any such declaration the forces to which the declaration applies shall be deemed to be on active service for the period mentioned in the declaration so that the period mentioned in any one declaration do not exceed three months from the date thereof:
And Whereus by declaration made on the 5th day of August 1914 it was declared by Proclamation published in the Government Gazette Extraordinary dated the 5th day of August 1914 to le necessary for the public service that His Majesty's forces in the Colony be subject to the suid Act for the period of three months from the date thereof as if they were on active service:
And Whereas by Proclamations made on the 4th day of November, 1914, 3rd February, 30th April, 30th July, and 29th October, 1915, 2nd February, 2nd May, 28th July, and 27th October, 1918, 2nd February, 2nd May, 2nd August, and 2nd November, 1917, and 3rd February, 26th April, 26th July, and 25th October, 1918, the said declaration was renewed for a period of three months from time to time:
And Whereas by a Proclamation made on the 24th day of January 1919 the saili declaration was renewed for a period of three months from the 3rd day of February 1019:
Audd Whereas the said period of three mouths will expire on the 3rd day of May 1919 Now therefore I, Chato SEVEUS, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Salut Michael and Saint George, the Officer Administering the Government of the Colony
