7.5. Statt
Gonernor.
By Ilis Excellency Sir LEGINALD Enwyrn Seurus, Knight Communuder of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saim George, Governor and Commander-in- Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same.
Wheress by the second section of the Commissioners Powers Ordinaner, 1880, it is enacted that the Coventor in Council shall have power tay nominate and appoing Coin- missioners under the public seal for the purpose of instituting, makingg and bondueting quy empiryithaa may be deemed advisable and for reporting thereon:
And Whereas the Governor "în Council has desined it advisable that an enquiry should be instituted, made, and conductaid as to what measures are possible to increase the quantity and decrease the cost of housing accommodation in the Colony :
Now 1, Sir Itemsald Enwand Srunus, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Micluel and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of flongkong and its Dopeuttencies, and Vice-Relmical of the same, with the mlvice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoint you :-
The Houmble Mr. Hesus Epward Pollock, K.C.
The Honourable Mr. Robert Hormus KoTEWALL.
Mr. William Seynourne Bailey,
to be Commissioners for the purpose of instituting, making, and conducting such enquiry:
And I do also appoint you, the said Mr. Hssur Enward Pollock, K.C., to he ('hair- man of the said Commissioners:
And I do also appoint Mr. Arríon George Warsham Tresle to be Secretary to the said f'ommissioners :
And 1 do further, with the ulvice and consent of the Executive Council, order and direct that the said Commissioners shall have all the powers, rights, and privileges sel out in the third section of the said Ordinance;
And I do further require you, the said Commissioners, to report to me your findings in the matter of the said 'enquiry and your recommendations at as carly a dite as possi- Ide.
Given under my hud and the Public Seal of the Colony at Victoria, Hongkong, this Gth day of April, 1929.
