MAINTENANCE ORDERS (FACILITIES FOR ENFORCEMENT) ORDINANCE, 1921.
By His Excellency Sir REGINALD EDWARD STEDUS Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in- Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same:
Whereas it is provided by section 14 of the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Ordinance 1921" as enacted by section of the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Ovdinance 1923 that where the Governor is satisfied that reciprocal provisious have been made by the legislature of any British possession for the enforcement within such possession of maintenance orders made by Courts in Hongkong the Governor may by Proclamation extend the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Ordinance 1921 to maintenance orders made by courts within such posses- sion and that thereupon the said Ordinance shall apply to such maintenance orders as if they had been made in England or Ireland:
And Whereas I am satisfied that such reciprocal provisions have been made by the legislature of the Straits Settlements ;
Now therefore 1 Sir REGINALD EDWARD STUBES Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and St. George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the 'olony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same do hereby by thus Proclamation extend the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Ordinance 1921 to maintenance orders made by courts in the Straits Settlements.
