PROCLAMATION.

7.2. Stubbs

Governor.

By His Excellency Sir REGINALD EDWARD STUBBS Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George Governor and Commander-in- Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same.

Whereas by the fifteenth section of the Volunteer Reserve Ordinance 1910 it is enacted that the Governor may by proclamation whenever it appears to him advisable to do so by reason of war cause all or any members of the Volunteer Reserve to be enrolled as members of the Volunteer Force and that all the provisions of the Volunteer Ordinance 1893 shall in so far as they are applicable extend and apply to every such member on being so extolled to all intents and purposes as if such members had sigued the engagement and taken the oath under the said Volunteer Ordinance and that every member so enrolled shall remain and continue subject to the provisions of the said Volunteer Ordinance and shall be entitled to the benefits thereof until the Goverwor shall by proclamation cancel such enrolmout whereupon all members so enrolled shall again become subject to the Volunteer Reserve Ordinance 1910 as members of the Volunteer Reserve :

And whereas all the members of the Volunteer Reserve were so earolled by pro- clamation on the 6th day of August 1914:

And whereas it appears to me that the necessity for such enrolment has ceased:

Now Therefore I Sir REGINALD Epwaan STUBBS Kuight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George Governor and Commander- in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same do hereby cancel the asid enrolment as from and after the 31st day of December 1919.
