* Nurk (1). Under the Frading with the Enomy Proclamations of 25 June, and 10 November, 1915, all Precanations relating to Trading with the Enemy apply to all persons or bodies of persons of enemy nationality, resident or carrying on business in Persia, Morocco or Portugueso East Africa, and consequently it is an offence to trade with any person or body of persons of enemy nationality resident or carrying on business in Perais, Morocco or Portuguese East Africa, even though such person or body of persons is not included by name in the above list, and the omission of the name of any such person or body of persons from such list is not an authority or license to trade with each person ne body of persons.

Nork (2).—— Where a firm nawed in the List has more than one branch in the same country, al! branches in that country are held to be included in the list, even in enses where no address, or of revenil addresses one only is specifically mentioned.

By His Excellency Sir FRASCs Hesty Mar Knight Commander of the Most Dis- tinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George Governor and Commander-in-chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same:

Whers by section 189 of the Army Art it is enacted that where the Governor of a Colony in which any of His Majesty's Gorers me serving declures at any time or times that by reason of the imminence of active service or of the recent existence of activa service it is necessary for the public service that the forces in the Colony should be temporarily subject to the said Act us if they wore on active service then on the publica- tion in general orders of any such declaration the forces to which the declaration applies shall be deemed to be on active service for the period mentioned in the declaration so that the period mentioned in any one declaration do not exceed three months, from the date thereof:

And Whereas by declaration made on the 5th day of August 1914 it was declared by Proclamation published in the Government Gazette Extraordinary dated the 5th day of August 1914 to be necessary for the public service that His Majesty's forces in the Colony be subject to the said Act for the period of three months from the date thereof as if they were on netive service;

And Whereas by Proclamations made on the 4th day of November 1911 3rd February 30th April 30th July and 29th October 1915 and 2nd February 1916 the said declaration was reueweil for a period of three months from time to time:

And Wherous by a Proclamation made on the 2nd day of May 1916 the said declura- tion was renewed for a period of three months from the Srl day of May 1916:

And Whereas the said pericol of three months will expire on the 3rd day of Angust 1916 Now therefore I Sir FRANCIS HENRY MAY Knight Commander of the Most Distin- guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George Governor and Commander-in-Chief E the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice Admiral of the saune being of opinion that the necessity of His Majesty's forces in the Colony being subject to the said Act continues do hereby declare that by reason of the imminence of active service it is necessary for the public service that Flis Majesty's forces in this Colony be subject to ikte said Act for the further period of three months from and after the 3rd day of August 1916.
