The Corporation grant Drafts, and negotiate or collect Bills payable at the above places, on terma which may be ascertained at their office; they also issue Circular Notes and Letters of Credit for the use of Travellers by the Overland Boute."
They undertake the Agency of Parties connected with India and the Colonies, make Investments in the Public Fonds, and other British and Foreign Securities, and recsïve Pay, Pension, Dividends, and Interest, free of charge to constituents.
They also receive Deposits of £100 and upwards, repayable (in one rum) at a notice of 10 days, and allow interest thereon at 1 per cent, below the Bank of England's minimum rate of Discount,-rising and failing therewith, but not going below 2 of rising above & per cent. Deposits subject to longer At present 2 per cent is allowed nosices of withdrawal, or for fixed terma, generally bear higher rates.

Applications for the sanction of the Directors to Credits, established by firma here in favour of parties abroad must be sent in not less than three days before despatch of the Mail, otherwise they will be deferred until the Mail following. Bills for Collection in India and the Colouies, and other transac tions involving correspondence by the Overland Maila, also applications for Drafts, are required to be sent in one clear day before the day of despatch.
The Corporation undertake the safe custody of Indian and Colonial Government Paper, Shares in the Capital Stock of the Government Banks and other Local Stocks, and draw Interest And Dividends on the mame na they fall due, on the following terms:—
If to be remitted throngh the Corporation.
If to be paid in India or the Colonies, a Commission will be charged of On return or transfer of Government Paper or Share Certificates; or, if Bold, on paying the proceeds of such Sale in India or the Colo- nies, a Commission will be charged of
