JUNE, 1847-XXX DAYS.
Chinese XXVII Year, IVth and Vth Moons.
the
The month of June is also a very wet month, although, on an average, number of rainy days is less than in the other summer months. The ther- mometer in June rises several degrees higher than in the month of May, and falls but little at night—it is this latter circumstance chiefly which causes the exhaustion often felt in this country, from the heat of summer-no op- portunity being afforded for regaining strength.
