Fifth anniversary of Curriculum Development Institute

The Chairman of the Curriculum Development Council (CDC), Dr Cheng Hon- kwan, today (Friday) noted that the Curriculum Development Institute (CDI) and CDC are partners in curriculum development.

While attending a seminar to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the CDI, Dr Cheng said the institute played the roles of supporter and facilitator of curriculum reforms in the past five years.

The seminar captioned "Partnership in Curriculum Development" was an experience sharing seminar among partners in curriculum development.

Promoting curriculum development, providing support services and exploring developing direction were introduced by the CDI staff at the seminar.

The institute was set up in 1992, following the recommendations made in the Education Report No. 4. The number of staff has increased from 133 to 202.

Water cut in Quarry Bay and Yuen Long

Fresh water supply to some premises in Quarry Bay will be suspended from 11 pm on April 28 (Monday) to 6 am the following day for waste detection work on watermains.

The suspension will affect all premises in the area bounded by Pan Hoi Street, Westlands Road, 986 and all odd number premises between 981-1037 King's Road.

Meanwhile, fresh and flushing water supply to some premises in Yuen Long will be suspended during the same period.

The suspension will affect all premises in the area bounded by Hop Yick Road, Tai Tong Road, Fau Tsoi Street and Yau Sun Street, including Kin Tak Stree, 4-40 and 1-33 Hop Yick Road and 70 Fung Cheung Street.
