Mr Ian Robert STRACHAN, JP

Mr Strachan joined the civil service in 1965. He was appointed Director of Social Welfare in 1992 and has been active in voluntary work for the disabled. He is now on pre-retirement leave.

Dr the Honourable Samuel WONG Ping-wai, MBE. FEng. JP

Dr Wong has been a member of the Legislative Council since 1991. A civil engineer, he has been closely involved in the New Airport project and he is also active in other areas of public service.

Mr David WONG Shou-ych. JP

A banker, Mr Wong has been concerned with a major study into industry in Hong Kong. He is a member of the Governor's Business Council and of a number of other boards and committees.

Dr Raymond WU Wai-yung, JP

A medical practitioner, Dr Wu has been active in the field of rehabilitation. He has been Chairman of the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association since 1965 and also chairs the Government's main rehabilitation advisory committee.

Mrs Helen YU LAI Ching-ping. JP

Mrs Yu joined the civil service in 1965. She held a number of directorate posts in Government before taking up her present appointment as Director of Education.

Mr AU Chi-lau, JP

Mr Au joined the civil service as an apprentice engineer in 1962 and was promoted Principal Government Engineer in 1993. He has been involved in road construction, sewerage and drainage, and port and airport works.
