Appeal for information on helicopter accident
The Civil Aviation Department is appealing for information in connection with the Lama helicopter accident which occurred in Tai Lam Gap on March 16.
Any persons wishing to make representation as to the circumstances or cause of the accident are requested to either write or telephone 2769 8896 to the Civil Aviation Department within 14 days of this notice.
Written representation should be sent to the Chief Inspector of Accidents c/o The Civil Aviation Department, 46 floor, Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong.
The appeal was contained in a notice published in the Gazette today (Friday), announcing that an Inspector's Investigation is taking place into the cause of the accident involving an Aerospatiale SA315B Lama helicopter VR-HIP operated by Heliservices (Hong Kong) Limited.
During the accident, the pilot of helicopter was injured while the aircraft was substantially damaged.

New member appointed to committee of HK Philharmonic
The Governor has appointed Dr Liu Ching-chih to the General Committee of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Society, with effect from April 1, 1996.
The appointment was published in the Government Gazette today (Friday).
The General Committee is responsible for the management of the affairs, administration and business of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Society.
