The spokesman also noted that the growth in re-exports remained robust, while domestic exports resumed a positive growth following a slight decrease in August. Meanwhile, the growth rate in value terms of retained imports slowed down to 7.2% in September 1995 over a year earlier. This contributed in large measure to the narrowing of the visible trade deficit. But for the first nine months of 1995, there was still an increase of 27% over a year earlier.
