Publicity campaign to prevent chemical leakage incidents
Following is a question by the Hon Tam Yiu-chung and a written reply by the Secretary for Security, Mr Peter Lai, in the Legislative Council today (Wednesday):
Question:
Will the Government inform this Council:
(a)
(b)
of the number of chemical gas leakage incidents which occurred during the handling of chemicals, together with the number of casualties, involved in each of the past 12 months; and
what short-term measures or publicity campaigns the Goverment has put in place to educate the persons concerned on how to prevent such accidents when handling chemicals?
