Capping and management of mud pit at Sha Chau
The Civil Engineering Department is inviting tenders for the capping and management of Mud Pit III at the East of Sha Chau.
The project comprises the management of contaminated mud disposal at Mud Pit III and the subsequent capping of the pit with sand and clean mud.
Works are expected to commence in August and will take 18 months to complete.
The works have been designed by the Fill Management Division of Geotechnical Engineering Office and will be supervised by the Port Works Division of Civil Engineering Office, Civil Engineering Department.
Tender forms and further particulars can be obtained from the Chief Engineer, Port Works Division, Civil Engineering Office, fifth floor, Civil Engineering Building, 101 Princess Margaret Road, Kowloon.
Tender offers will close at noon on July 14.

Pok Oi Hospital directors visit SWD
The new Board of Directors of the Pok Oi Hospital today (Friday) paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Director of Social Welfare, Mrs Louise Wong, and discussed with her the development plans for various welfare services of the organisation.
The vice-chairman of the new Board of Directors, Mr Au Weng-hei, said apart from upgrading its existing services, the hospital would introduce new services to cater for the needs of various sectors of the community.
He also thanked the SWD for its assistance and guidance to the hospital in the past years.
