The Indices are based on an analysis of prices paid for COMPLETED flats as recorded in Sale and Purchase agreements. Data of sale la the date on which an Agreement for Sale and Purchase is signed. Provisional agreument is generally reached 2-3 weeks uclier.
The component index for each property group in a sample development la calculated by dividing the average unit price for the concerned month by the average unit price of the base period. The composite index for a property group is compiled by calculating a weighted average of the component Indices. The weights are based on the number of transscdoos affected during the base period.
