When they visit them, census officers carry with them Government identity cards and certificates for conducting the survey. They will make such documents available for inspection by households to confirm their identities.

The survey is conducted under Part IIIA of the Census and Statistics Ordinance as notified in the General Notice No. 212 in the Hong Kong Government Gazette of January 19, 1990.

In accordance with the ordinance, data relating to individual persons or households collected will be kept confidential and will not be released to the public, any private organisations or other Government departments.

Amendment to draft Wang Tau Hom and Tung Tau Outline Zoning plan

The Town Planning Board today (Friday) announced amendment to the draft Wang Tau Hom and Tung Tau Outline Zoning Plan.

The amendment is to rezone a site at the junction of Chuk Yuen Road and Fu Mei Street from 'Open Space' to 'Residential (Group A)' for Home Ownership Scheme development.

The amendment plan is now available for public inspection until January 20 during office hours at:
