SERVICES FOR SCHOOL DROP-OUTS TO BE STRENGTHENED

TO STRENGTHEN THE EXISTING SERVICES TO SCHOOL ADDITIONAL 39 SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKERS WILL BE PROVIDED IN 1994/95.

BY 1995/96, THE RATIO OF SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKERS TO STUDENTS WILL BE RAISED FROM THE EXISTING 1 TO 2,500 TO 1 TO 2,000.

INCREASED

THE NUMBER OF EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGISTS WILL ALSO BE BY FIVE PER YEAR, BRINGING THE TOTAL NUMBER FROM THE PRESENT 33 TO 71 BY THE YEAR 2000/2001.
