THE GOVERNOR LEARNED THAT AS A LONG-TERM SOLUTION то THE PROBLEM, ALTERNATIVE PREMISES WOULD BE PROVIDED ON THE THIRD FLOOR OF UNITED CENTRE IN QUEENSWAY.
DESIGN FOR THE NEW OFFICE IS IN HAND. THERE WILL BE MORE USER- FRIENDLY FACILITIES FOR CUSTOMERS AND IMPROVED WORKING AREAS FOR STAFF.
THE GOVERNOR LEARNED THAT THE NEW HONG KONG LICENSING OFFICE WOULD BE ABOUT 40 PER CENT LARGER AND WAS EXPECTED TO BE OPERATIONAL BY JUNE NEXT YEAR.
CENTRALLY LOCATED AND WELL SERVED BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT, THE NEW OFFICE SHOULD BE WELCOME BY THE PUBLIC.
