RESPONDENTS WERE

THE SURVEY REVEALED THAT 80 PER CENT OF THE SATISFIED WITH THE OVERALL SERVICE IN THE SURVEYED CLINICS, CENT REGARDED THE SERVICE AS FAIR WHILE A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF ONE PER CENT WERE NOT SATISFIED.

AMONGST THE VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THE SERVICE, RESPONDENTS WERE MOST SATISFIED WITH "HEALTH TALKS" (81%), FOLLOWED BY "STAFF ATTITUDE" (79%) AND "WAITING HALL ENVIRONMENT" (78%).

ABOUT FIVE PERCENT OF THE RESPONDENTS

OF SEEING A DOCTOR" COULD BE IMPROVED.

FELT THAT "ARRANGEMENT

WHEN COMPARED WITH THIS SERVICE PROVIDED A YEAR AGO, THAT IS, BEFORE THE INTRODUCTION OF THE PERFORMANCE PLEDGE, ALMOST HALF OF THE RESPONDENTS (47%) HAD ALREADY FELT THE IMPROVEMENT.

DR LEE STRESSED THAT THE SUCCESS OF THE PERFORMANCE PLEDGE PROGRAMME DEPENDED ON EFFECTIVE MONITORING AND REGULAR FEEDBACK. HR PLEDGED THAT "WE CARE, WE COMMUNICATE AND WE ACT FOR BETTER SERVICE.

FORD, TODAY (WEDNESDAY) MADE OF THE GOVERNOR, MR CHRISTOPHER

THE ACTING GOVERNOR, SIR DAVID THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT ON BEHALF PATTEN, AND THE HONG KONG GOVERNMENT:

"I WAS DEEPLY SADDENED TO HEAR OF THE DEATH OF LORD KADOORIE. HE WAS ONE OF OUR OUTSTANDING CITIZENS, AND MADE AN ENORMOUS CONTRIBUTION TO HONG KONG BOTH AS A BUSINESSMAN AND BENEFACTOR.

LORD KADOORIE HEADED A DISTINGUISHED FAMILY FIRM WHICH HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN HONG KONG ENTERPRISES FOR MOST OF OUR HISTORY.

HE WAS A BUSINESSMAN OF EXTRAORDINARY VISION AND WAS THE DRIVING FORCE BEHIND MASSIVE INVESTMENT PROJECTS WHICH WILL SERVE HONG KONG'S INTERESTS WELL INTO THE NEXT CENTURY.

LORD KADOORIE HAD AN UNSHAKEABLE FAITH IN HONG KONG'S FUTURE AND WAS A TIRELESS CHAMPION OF HONG KONG AT HOME AND ABROAD.

HE ALSO LEAVES BEHIND A LEGACY OF

GENEROUS

CONTRIBUTIONS ΤΟ

THE COMMUNITY.
