Mr LAI Kwok-hung

Mr Lai joined the then Preventive Service (now the Customs and Excise Department) in 1960. During his 31 years with the Department he has served in every division, but has been most closely associated with preventive measures against narcotics and copyright protection. Mr Lai will retire in November 1991.

Mrs Rose LAM CHEN Jing-han

Mrs Lam began her nursing career in 1951. She was appointed Nursing Director in 1988 and is responsible for over 11,000 nurses. In her 40 years of service she has gained a very wide range of nursing experience and

and has specialised in operating theatre techniques and nursing administration.

Mr LI Kwing-yee

Mr Li is the Hong Kong Government's Chief Pharmacist. He joined the service in 1956, and holds a number of important appointments in the pharmaceutical profession, including Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Registration Committee. He is also a member of the Working Party on Chinese Medicine. He retires in October 1991.

Mr LOW Chuck-tiew

Mr Low is a retired banker. He is a lover of Chinese art and a well known collector of Chinese paintings and calligraphy. He has advised the Hong Kong Museum of Art since 1974 and has often made his own collections available for exhibitions. Recently he donated a major part of his collection, the Xubaizhai collection, to the Hong Kong Museum of Art.

Mrs Anne MARDEN. JP

Mrs Marden has been involved in voluntary work in Hong Kong for nearly 40 years. In the 1960's she became Director of Hong Kong Red Cross. In 1970 she and her husband established a charitable foundation to provide pre-vocational training for less

training for less academically gifted children. Mrs Marden also helped to found "Challenge Venture", a factory offering jobs for the handicapped, and "Treats", which aims to give underprivileged children "a day to remember".
