THE SECRETARY FOR TRANSPORT GAVE FULL SUPPORT TO THE KCRC'S EFFORTS IN ENHANCING ITS RELATION WITH CUSTOMERS.

IN ADDITION TO REGULAR SURVEYS ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, THE KCRC HAD RECENTLY STARTED TO FORM PASSENGER LIAISON GROUPS. VIEWS COLLECTED THROUGH THE GROUP MEETINGS WOULD FORM THE BASIS FOR FURTHER SERVICE IMPROVEMENTS.

MR LEUNG SAID THE KORC BOARD COMPRISED MEMBERS APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR FROM A CROSS SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY.

THE KORO ORDENANCE EMPOWERED THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL TO DIRECT THE CORPORATION ON MATTERS OF PUBLIC INTEREST.

MR LEUNG SAID THE TRANSPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE WAS KEPT INFORMED AND CONSULTED ON THE BROADER ASPECTS OF RAIL SERVICES, INCLUDING THEIR CO-ORDINATION WITH OTHER FORMS OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT.

CROSS MEMBERSHIP BETWEEN THE TAC AND THE KCRC BOARD HAD HELPED TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING AND CO-ORDINATION.
