Mr LING Chun-shing

Mr Ling joined the Hong Kong Government as a driver in 1966 and has been the personal chauffeur to the Chief Secretary since 1969. His work has required very long hours and driving to extremely tight timetables.

Mr Henry LOKE Kui-kuen

With one short break, Mr Loke has been the manager of the Kai Tak Vietnamese Refugee transit centre since 1979. The centre was opened by the Red Cross and was later taken over by the Hong Kong Christian Aid to Refugees.

Mr MA Wing-woon

Mr Ma began his working career over 30 years ago as a labourer and is now an overseer. For the last 20 years he has been the leader of one of the largest of the municipal services unions and was elected Chairman of the Federation of USD and RSD Staff Unions.

Mr MAK Man-chik

Mr Mak joined the former Medical and Health Department in 1960 and is now a chief hospital foreman. He was closely involved from 1980 to 1984 in the commissioning of the Prince of Wales Hospital.

Mr Ali MOHAMED

Mr Mohamed has over 31 years of service in the Urban Services Department. He was promoted to senior overseer in 1989 and for many years he worked on hawker control duties. He was also a member of the Royal Hong Kong Regiment (The Volunteers) for 14 years and was awarded the Efficiency Medal.

Mr SZETO Ming-chiu

Mr Szeto joined the then prison service as a warder in 1957. Eight years of his career were spent in the supervision of youtha sentenced to a training centre. He retires from the Correctional Services Department in February 1991.
