COMPARING WITH JUNE 1989, RETAIL SALES OF FOODSTUFFS, ALCOHOLIC DRINKS AND TOBACCO WENT UP BY 21 PER CENT IN VALUE AND 14 PER CENT VOLUME, WHILE RETAIL SALES OF FUELS INCREASED BY 19 PER CENT IN AND 4 PER CENT IN VOLUME.
