Mr Hanson joined the Hong Kong Government secondment from the United Kingdom Civil Service. He was appointed Refugee Co-ordinator in 1988, responsible for policy formulation on, and day-to-day administration of, the Vietnamese boat people issue. Bince taking up his post, Mr Hanson has had to deal with the largest influx of boat people for 10 years.

Mr Ho joined the Government in 1953 as a Clerical Officer became a Judicial Clerk in 1962. In 1984 he Was appointed to the newly created post of Principal Judicial Clerk and became Registrar of the District Court. He retired from Government service at the end of 1989.
Mr LEUNG Shui-fat, JP
Mr Leung is a businessman with over 30 years of service to territory-wide campaigns and organisations. He equally active in local affairs as a member of the Yuen Long Board, and in the fields of medicine, social welfare, guiding and recreation in general.

Sister Mary O'MAHONY (Sister Mary Gabriel)

Sister Gabriel joined the Missionary Sisters of St Ireland, at the age of 16. She qualified as a doctor in 1947 posted to Hong Kong in 1950, eventually becoming Medical Superintendent of the Ruttonjee Sanatorium. Sister Gabriel 1s an international expert in the control and management of tuberculosis and is now deeply involved in the promotion of hospice care.
Mr TÀI Tung-ngok
A businessman, Mr Tai is also Chairman of the Sham Shui Ро District Board. He has been involved in public service and community work for many years. His many activities include membership of the Board of Directors of the Community Chest and the Board of Management of Chinese Permanent Cemeteries.
