CONSUMER DURABLES DROPPED BY CHANGE IN VOLUME. CENT IN SALES VALUE AND 15 PER CENT IN SALES VOLUME.

HOWEVER, SALES

BY DEPARTMENT STORES DECREASED BY 5 PER IN VALUE AND 13 PER CENT IN VOLUME. RETAIL SALES OF CONSUMER DURABLES OTHER THAN MOTOR VEHICLES AND PARTS DROPPED BY 25 PER CENT AND 28 PER CENT IN VOLUME.
