PART-TIME LECTURERS SOUGHT FOR ADULT EDUCATION

THE ADULT EDUCATION SECTION OF THE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT IS INVITING APPLICATIONS FROM QUALIFIED PERSONS TO FILL THE EVENING PART-TIME LECTURER VACANCIES FOR THE VARIOUS COURSES то BE OPERATED IN THE 1988-89 SESSION.

THE ADULT EDUCATION SECTION CURRENTLY RUNS A NUMBER OF COURSES INCLUDING THE EVENING SCHOOL OF HIGHER CHINESE STUDIES, TEACHERS COURSES, ENGLISH COURSE, GOVERNMENT EVENING SECONDARY SCHOOL COURSE, ADULT EDUCATION COURSES (GENERAL AND PRACTICAL BACKGROUND), AND COURSES CONDUCTED IN THE ADULT EDUCATION AND RECREATION CENTRES.

THE CENTRES ARE LOCATED IN VARIOUS DISTRICTS THROUGHOUT THE

TERRITORY.

APPLICANTS FOR TEACHING POSTS IN THE EVENING SCHOOL OF HIGHER CHINESE STUDIES, TEACHERS' COURSES, ENGLISH COURSE, GOVERNMENT EVENING SECONDARY SCHOOL COURSE, ADULT EDUCATION COURSE (GENERAL BACKGROUND) SHOULD BE QUALIFIED TEACHERS WITH A GENUINE INTEREST IN THE TEACHING OF YOUNG ADULTS IN THE EVENING.

EXPERIENCE IN SUCH TEACHING AT

THE SENIOR SECONDARY/POST SECONDARY LEVELS AND/OR POSSESSION

A DIPLOMA/CERTIFICATE IN EDUCATION OR ADVANCED CERTIFICATE IN TEACHER TRAINING WOULD BK AN ADVANTAGE.

FINAL YEAR STUDENTS OF THE TWO UNIVERSITIES MAY ALSO APPLY BUT THEIR APPOINTMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THEIR DEGREE COURSES.

APPLICANTS FOR TEACHING POSTS IN DRESSMAKINO, SEWING AND KNITTING, COOKERY AND WOODWORK OF THE ADULT EDUCATION COURSES (PRACTICAL BACKGROUND) SHOULD BE QUALIFIED TEACHERS WITH SPECIAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE IN THE RESPECTIVE SUBJECTS.
