OWNERS OF GOODS VEHICLES AND TRAILERS ARE REMINDED THAT WITH EFFECT FROM AUGUST 25, THEIR VEHICLES SHOULD DISPLAY THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED AXLE WEIGHTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ROAD TRAFFIC (CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF VEHICLES) REGULATIONS.

"THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED AXLE WEIGHT MARKINGS ON GOODS VEHICLES AND TRAILERS WILL HELP DRIVERS DETERMINE THE LOADING CAPACITY OF EACH AXLE AND HENCE ENSURE THAT LOADS ARE PROPERLY PLACED, A TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT SPOKESMAN EXPLAINED.
